Have you been living here for a while but want to meet new people and get a chance to improve your German? Then join the International Club Winterthur for a «Coffee, chat, and German conversation» on November 6 at Coalmine café, Turnerstrasse 1. Don’t feel like talking in German yet? You can also join the group on November 27 for «Drinks and chat in English» at The Caledonien Inn, General-Guisan-Strasse 19 for a relaxed meet-up and a couple of beers.
While in Coalmine, see two current exhibitions in their space for contemporary photography: «External disorder» by Andrzej Steinbach, as well as «Signs of reliability» by Beat Schweizer. Both are available throughout November, so you can take your time. Want more tips in English? Find them at coucoumagazin.ch

Prices for small household items and clothes usually vary from 1-15 CHF, while bigger items like furniture cost more, but are still way cheaper than retail.
